Heim Health Selected for NHS Innovation Accelerator and Raises £2.5M to Scale AI-Powered Community Care Across the UK

London, UK — March 25th, 2026— Heim Health, the company building AI-native technology to bring clinical care into people’s homes, has been accepted into the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA), one of the UK’s most selective programmes for scaling health innovation across the NHS.

Alongside the NIA selection, Heim has raised £2.5M in new funding round led by THENA Capital, with participation from Fund F, identity.vc, Heal Capital, Form Ventures, Portfolio Ventures and angels including former health minister, James Bethell. The capital will accelerate Heim’s growth across public and private healthcare and deepen its AI-native platform capabilities. As part of the investment, Dr Pamela Walker Geddes, Founding General Partner at THENA Capital, has joined Heim’s Board of Directors.

This news comes at a turning point for healthcare. Demand is rising, workforce shortages are deepening, and health systems urgently need to move care out of hospitals and into communities. But today, the ‘last mile’ of care delivery is still held together by fragmented tools and manual processes, and nurses spend too much of their time travelling, not treating. Worst of all, most community teams are operating with little data and insights as to how clinical time is actually spent.

Heim is building the AI-native infrastructure to solve this.

Heim’s platform gives community teams something they’ve never had: the tools to drive transparency in their operations and optimise how nurses’ time is being spent in the field. Using passive data capture and real-time geolocation, Heim Insights surfaces live visibility of workforce activity, capacity and demand.

Alongside this data layer, Heim’s Companion App optimises delivery through workflow automation software, proprietary routing algorithms and AI task automations. The technology stack can power NHS community teams and is also deployed through Heim’s own network of 400+ practitioners. Across partner NHS Trusts, the platform has already demonstrated up to 35% capacity increases and up to 42% mileage savings, unlocking meaningful additional time for frontline teams.

Through the NHS Innovation Accelerator, Heim will work with the NHS to scale its technology more broadly across the health system and help accelerate the shift to home-based care models. NHS partners will have a system-level view into how community resources are used, turning hidden activity data into the operational intelligence needed to plan and deliver care more efficiently. At Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, this approach was projected to deliver a 42% reduction in travel time and save more than 5,000 clinical hours annually.

“Community healthcare is where the biggest gains in patient outcomes can be made, and yet it’s historically been the most underserved when it comes to technology and operational support. Being selected for the NHS Innovation Accelerator — alongside this new funding — means we can finally bring that infrastructure to the teams and patients who need it most.” said Dr Elle Clarke, Medical Director at Heim

Proving the Model

Heim sits at the intersection of healthcare delivery, logistics and AI, and it’s already proving the model works. The company operates within a £9B+ UK community healthcare market and has built strong commercial momentum across multiple healthcare segments.

Key milestones include:

  • Working with leading NHS providers including Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust, Manchester Foundation Trust, CHCP, Procare amongst others
  • Partnered with the most innovative digital health companies including Voy, Numan, Medichecks, Thriva and others to help them make their services more accessible to all
  • Consistently achieving an industry-leading >4.90/5 overall patient satisfaction rating

Beyond the NHS, Heim is gaining traction across private healthcare providers, national diagnostics platforms and population health programmes, positioning the company as critical infrastructure supporting multiple stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.

Investor Perspective

“Healthcare is undergoing one of the most significant structural shifts in decades, moving care out of hospitals and into the community,” said Dr Pamela Walker Geddes, Founding General Partner at THENA Capital and Board Member at Heim.

“But that transition cannot happen without the infrastructure to coordinate clinicians, logistics and data at scale. Heim is building exactly that and unlocking productivity across the clinical workforce while enabling entirely new models of home-based care. Heim has the potential to become a foundational platform for healthcare at home, first across the UK, and ultimately internationally.”

Experienced Founders, Global Ambition

Heim was founded by repeat healthcare entrepreneurs, James Monico and Kelly Klifa who previously built and scaled Testing For All, a large-scale diagnostics provider, reaching >1M customers in less than 16 months. The team combines deep clinical, operational and technical expertise with a proven ability to build and scale healthcare platforms.

The company also aligns closely with THENA Capital’s gender-smart investment strategy, with a female co-founder and CEO building technology designed to support a predominantly female clinical workforce.

With strong traction already across both public and private healthcare channels, Heim is also exploring international expansion opportunities, particularly in the United States where the shift toward at-home care is accelerating rapidly.

As healthcare delivery continues to decentralise, infrastructure that coordinates clinicians, optimises logistics and integrates real-time operational data is foundational to modern health systems.

Heim is the platform powering that transition.
